At Astris PME, we’re proud to support initiatives that make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with disability - and Wishes for Wheels is one of those rare programs that does just that.

Launched through a meaningful partnership between APEX Mobility and Canadian wheelchair innovators Motion Composites, Wishes for Wheels is now officially available in Australia. The program offers high-performance, ultralightweight manual wheelchairs - completely free of charge - to individuals who need them the most, but can’t access them through conventional funding avenues.

What is Wishes for Wheels?

Wishes for Wheels is a global initiative founded by Motion Composites, built on the belief that the right wheelchair doesn’t just improve function—it empowers independence, dignity, and connection.

Every three months, one Australian will be gifted a custom-fitted, ultralightweight Motion Composites wheelchair. These chairs are designed with cutting-edge materials, intuitive adjustability, and standout durability, giving users the confidence to move freely through their world.

At Astris PME, we see firsthand the transformative power of quality assistive technology. That’s why we’re thrilled to support this incredible program in its Australian launch.

Real Lives, Real Impact

To see the difference a Motion Composites wheelchair can make, just look to stories like Juan’s. A recipient from Louisville, Kentucky, Juan’s life was changed after receiving his chair through the Wishes for Wheels program. His story is one of freedom rediscovered—made possible through the generosity of a program that puts people first.

We know there are many Australians whose lives could be similarly transformed.
