If a rehab car seat does not (no longer) fit, but the 3-point belt offers far too little support, the THOMASHILFEN Octopus rehab belt system provides safety. Important Notes

• Houdini vehicle harnesses are not classed as safety harness but as a medical device for postural support. 

• Must be worn in conjunction with the vehicle safety belt. It is classed as a Disabled Persons Restraints for postural support and as a low risk medical device it carries the CE mark and complies with the requirements of MDD 93/42 EEC.

• It is advisable to carry out a risk assessment for each client in order to consider the problems involved and what the situation would be if the passenger is not wearing a special needs harness. Could they be in danger to themselves and to other passengers in that vehicle or even other drivers on the road if they are not safely seated during transit?

• The safety belt provided in the vehicle must always be worn over the top of our harness to comply with safety regulations unless they are exempt for medical reasons. The combination of the existing vehicle safety belt & the secondary harness offers added security for the passenger.

• The Houdini harnesses can be used with booster bases only, however cannot be used in conjunction with a booster seat which has a backrest on it.

The Easy Travel Magnet Harness System provides a safe and user-friendly solution for securing occupants during transport. Its innovative magnetic buttons allow for quick and secure fastening, making it an ideal choice for caregivers and individuals with special support needs. The main feature of the Easy Travel is that can only be removed via the magnetic key, or by being cut open - ensuring that the occupant cannot accidentally or intentionally remove the harness. This harness uses a set of magnetic locks to keep the vest on the individual and can only be unlocked using a magnetic key (or a conventional magnet).

Please note that this harness is not a restraint, and the vehicle occupant seatbelt must always be used on top of the harness to legal and safe transport.

Little Steps to an Unexplored World... Upsee is mobility harness designed to allow children with motor impairment to stand and move with the help of an adult. It allows children with additional needs to experience upright movement like anyone else. Some have been able to stand and hug their little brother or sister for the first time. Suitable for children aged 1-8 with a maximum user weight of 25kg/55lbs. The Upsee kit is made up of three parts: an adult hip-belt, a child harness and shared sandals. Facilitates gradual weight-bearing, standing and walking with the assistance of an adult. It is a revelation for many kids with neuromuscular disorders. 

The top tether mount/100TM is used in combination with an EZ-On vest for use in personal vehicles. This mount connects to the tether anchor that’s located behind the seat of a personal vehicle. It has two hooks that connect to the roll adjusters at the shoulders of an EZ-ON vest/harness. Comes standard with seatbelt cutter.

The bus mount/100SMU is used in combination with an EZ-On vest for use in buses. The 100SMU wraps around the seat of a school bus. It has four tethers that attach to the two D-Rings at the waist of a harness and the roll adjusters at the shoulders of an EZ-ON vest/harness. Comes standard with seatbelt cutter.

Comes standard equipped with ISOFIX, thoracic supports and a 5-point harness that is padded at the shoulders. As part of the supportive harness a large, stable tee pad guarantees firm support across the child’s pelvis. Have the peace of mind that your child is kept safe with the Side Impact Protection System that can be unscrewed to secure the car seat against the side of the vehicle door, improving safety in the event of side impact to the vehicle. If you choose to position the Ipai-LGT in the middle seat, it’s slim design allows for side-by-side installation of other car seats.

Through the depth adjustable ISOFIX adapter the Ipai-LGT can be used in a range of different vehicles. Adjusted through a central handle at the front of the car seat that can be operated with one hand makes it a breeze to install the seat quickly and safely.
